Dual Chamber and Muti Chamber Melting Furnaces
Dual Chamber and Multi Chamber Melting Furnaces are typically used for melting a variety of scraps and prime aluminum shapes. They accommodate clean and contaminated scrap forms including shreds, chips, bales and loose or bundled scrap. Prime metal shapes include foundry ingots, T-ingots and sows. These furnaces are designed to be used with a variety of recirculation systems, including both electro-magnetic and mechanical types. A dry hearth version is available for the melting zone, precluding the need for pre-heating the cold charge.
The dry hearth melting performance is superior to charging into a molten bath and inherently safer than wet bath charging. Furnace bath capacities up to 120 t and more, with melt rates up to 20 t per hour.
Tiltable Rotary Furnaces
Equipped with an oxy-fuel combustion system and a dust collector, the Tiltable Rotary Furnace is most commonly used for metallic recovery from aluminum drosses, both black and white. It is also used for recycling and recovery of end-of-life scrap in a large variety of forms. The end product can be shipped in liquid form or sows to local customers or value-added alloyed foundry ingot using additional equipment.
Tilting/Melting and Holding Furnaces
Tilting/Melting and Holding Furnaces are designed for high performance melting requirements of clean, dense scrap and prime shapes. Available in capacities up to 100 t or more, they are ideally suited for high volume products where a quick turn around is required and when alloy changes can be frequent. Contaminated scrap material with organic content up to 5 % – 6 % can also be melted in these furnaces in controlled doses using an integrated fume destruction system.
When paired with a modern charging machine, cycle times are quicker and therefore, energy consumption and emissions are reduced along with increased productivity.
