Alloy and Prime Preheat Furnaces
The alloy and prime preheat furnaces are typically used to dry and preheat alloying ingredients and solid metal shapes before being charged into a melting furnace.
Automated Alloying System
The automated alloying system is used to add alloying ingredients to a melting-holding furnace operation to limit the operator’s presence with molten metal in a batch or continuous casting operation.
Siphon System

Designed for liquid metal transfer requirements from transport ladles into the holding furnaces, these systems are equipped with special control parameters to automatically interface with the furnace heating program. The operator control station is conveniently located for easy access, and the control strategy is built into the main furnace PLC.
Prime/Preheat Furnaces

This system is used for transferring large capacity crucibles of pot room metal into holding furnaces.
Organic Removal Systems
The organic removal system is a fume destruction system integrated into a melting furnace for dealing with organic contamination on a cold metal charge. It is designed to handle organic content of up to 6 % by weight of a given charge, and typically around 20 % of a complete furnace load.
Launder System

Metal transfer between melting and holding furnaces and metal delivery to casting machines are critical steps of the casthouse process. Specific requirements are evaluated and system layouts and features are engineered to provide optimum control as well as operator safety and comfort. Protection covers are integrated into the furnace and launder interface points to offer additional protection to operating and maintenance personnel in these high-traffic areas.
